"Dear Lord Jesus, Head of the church Who has sanctified and cleansed it by your blood, we thank you for establishing St. John church in this place. We praise you for the blessings you have given through Word and Sacraments for all these years. On this day we pray for your continued guidance. Help us be faithful servants that we may witness together to lead others to you and everlasting life. May all we do to you glory, that not men's works but yours O Lord be praised. Bestow your mercy and blessing as we go forth into a new era. Our Lord, Redeemer and Friend hear our prayer. Amen."
